Second chef/ strong CPD looking for a challenge

 

A wonderful opportunity for an ambitious sous chef has arisen in one of Skye’s top rated fine dining restaurants. We are Featured in the Michellin Guide, The Good Food Guide and Scotland the Best - Skye is a stunning location which receives fantastic coverage as a foodie destination. The successful applicant will be working closely with Chef Calum Munro creating innovative dishes that reflect the seasons and make use of the abundant natural larder that our island provides.

 

The Applicant must have

 

  • previous fine dining experience

  • a meticulous attention to detail and a high skill level

  • confidence in their abilities and be able to work independently and creatively

  • the capability to work effectively within a small team

 

The position has accommodation available and would be suitable for a couple as there is a front of house position available at the restaurant too.

The restaurant is based in the in the town of Portree which has a bustling centre and lively nightlife.  Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

On top of salary tips tend to be excellent and are split evenly between the team The rota is 5 out of 7 days. The applicant should be highly adaptable and happy to help with anything needing done in the small team.

 

 

Front of house

 

 

A wonderful opportunity for an experienced front of house manager has arisen in one of Skye’s top rated fine dining restaurants. We are featured in the Michellin Guide, The Good Food Guide and Scotland the Best, The Isle of Skye is a thriving foodie destination and we are looking for the right applicant to maintain our excellent standards of hospitality and service. The successful applicant will be working within a small team so must be adaptable, hard working and able to use their initiative.

 

The applicant must have

 

  • Previous experience at a management level

  • Excellent food and wine knowledge, the ability to create an interesting wine list and pairings

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • A high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

 

 

 

The position has accommodation available and would be suitable for a couple as there is a sous chef position available at the restaurant too.
